I have a feeling that Msimanga skeletons could come back to haunt him, the DA manages their experiments very well and always cuts them to size at the right time, last he was boasting about making a deal to support Steenhuisen in exchange for Steenhuisen's support, maybe they thought this was the right time before he gets too big for his boots.
It will be tricky though, this close to the elections.

We still don't know what business Msimanga was conducting when he got punched in the mouth, the DA did not say much at the time, they neatly filed that little misdemeanor in the Book of Experiments.
Did you know it has suddenly emerged from Zille that Nqaba "The Comeback Kid" Bhanga has a drinking problem? The same guy who was involved in a fatal accident in the wee hours of the morning during lockdown? The explanation back then was that he was a hard worker who is not perturbed by the darkness of the night when there is work to do.
Khume has been a good boy who never took his party to court even when they created a position to accommodate Mazzone out of the just completed electoral process, plus he is a 25 years veteran of the party.

I normally do not post politics. But this story got me mega worried. How do you have 188 voters registered as living in a single home?? Either the GOOD party are sore losers or the IEC's system are questionable.

According to the DA's press release on this issue, this is not a new issue, and GOOD are only raising it now that they stood a chance to actually lose the ward.
So for me its a combination of both, GOOD are sore losers, and the IEC's systems are questionable at best.

I have always known the IEC address registration is not perfect with so many informal areas but 188 people in one house sounds very extreme.
The IEC thing of saying it was raised too late is not good enough, they should either refute the allegations or investigate it.

The problem here is not about independence, it's about accuracy of the address information the IEC has.

GOOD strangely did not bring this up when they won the ward in 2021 (lost to the DA in last week's by-election). There's a guy on Twitter who has long been going at deficiencies at the IEC who recently had a thread on all the weird stuff going with no. of registrations at certain addresses. Will try to link him here when I can find him.
