When is buying votes with public money acceptable, when it's done by the DA?

Because of all the people who are moaning about Panyaza I have not heard a single one of them moaning when the DA government in the Western Cape employs people, and it happens all the time, looks like it's one of those things that were very acceptable until the ANC started doing it, then all of a sudden it became a problem.

Or maybe it is possible to appreciate a good job being done by Panyaza, without necessarily being a supporter of the ANC? I was amongst those who were the biggest supporter of Mashaba's insourcing while he was still a DA mayor, even though I wasn't supporting the DA.

It looks like some people struggle to give credit where it's due if the person deserving of the credit does not belong to their party, I have certainly not heard you complaining about vote buying when the WC employs crime wardens in the Independent Republic.

Look, I'm a person that carries an utter disdain for the ANC. But I can commend, for example, Mbeki for creating the Scorpions. I can credit Mandela for trying to keep the country together and making progress in his term.

This Lesufi campaign is the most blatant display of obvious use of public funds to gain votes any party has mounted in a while. It is obvious and you'd have to be blind not to see it. If it was the DA in Lesufi's position I would have the same opposition I have against Lesufi, I think I have stated my reasons many a time here with specific references. My views on this are apolitical.

LEAP wasn't created for the same reasons amaPanyaPanya was. AmaPanyaPanya is a desperate last-ditch effort to win GP votes for ANC.
LEAP was created to try and address the failings of SAPS (under ANC national gov control) and combat crime.
