If the parties can't find common ground, then a coalition would be dead in the water before it started, right?

E.g. 2016 DA/EFF cooperation.

This has fsck all to do with the DA seeing them as enemies and everything to do with the PAs actions right now...

They are untrustworthy.

I do get the part about needing as many parties as possible, but certain parties will jump ship at the first opportunity if it means they get more money or power.

Yes @surface there are good leaders out there. But they aren't in politics

Just look at Trump and Biden supporters. Both pretending their choice of geriatric is awesome when the reality is both should be pushing daisies.

Its one thing talking possibilities for the future, its another thing when the party you're inviting into the talks has actively sabotaged the Multiparty Coalition and bailed to the ANC.

I have NFI who those parties are. I have no time for this moonshot kuk. It's doomed to fail when you try bring so many different ideologies together.

Lol. Action SA is clueless, as are most of the other smaller parties. Like, have you okes not realised who is in coalition with the ANC at the local government level? The PA is nothing but a Trojan Horse. Hopefully, the PA doesn't actually ever get formally invited. They are also clearly unreliable and not to be trusted, as they will withdraw from the coalition when offered more lucrative prizes (i.e. positions and bribes) by the ANC.

To defeat ANC is not really easy. Even if coalition doesn't succeed at first attempt, it paves the way for next attempt and hopefully a better one.

Would you prefer that they just give up ?

I don't think there is any other way to take the power from the ANC other than this method. You would think that there would of been a lot more division within the ANC considering all the sht over the past 30 years but too many opportunists in there for it to break down organically.

It's doomed to fail as it is now. It's simple really, if they are building an opposition alliance then it's not a problem, bring in as many irrelevant parties as possible, yes, that why you have never heard of them.

If they are building a coalition that has ambitions of unseating the ANC then they need to start getting serious, and by serious I mean it does not make any sense to speak to someone who already agrees with you, that's a waste of time.
