The CIC is heavily defended and this punk would be lucky to even get within a few meters of him.

De Ruyter is trying so hard to focus everyone on the "past 25 years" to deflect from his own time at Eskom. He knew the history of the organistion when he joined it and when he made promises to fix it. He didn't say "this will be too hard for me". We should put a microscope on his own performance and presiding over the worst blackouts in history...not on his attempt to become a political analyst, there's nothing new he's telling us but just to distract from his tenure (the worst of any CEO in Eskom's existence).

IFP suspends mayor, councillor in separate scandals

The IFP has suspended Abaqulusi mayor Mncedisi Maphisa and a councillor in Alfred Duma Municipality from the party.

It has also asked both men to step aside from their positions.The councillor is implicated in a sex for jobs scandal after a recording surfaced of him allegedly engaging in a sex act with a municipal worker.

In a leaked recording last week, the mayor seemingly instructed officials on dealing with one contractor and ostensibly made derogatory remarks about women.

Ag shem, if only you watched the ****ing interview, you would have known that...

De Ruyter himself admitted to failing in his objectives at the end of the interview. Hardly, deflecting from his tenure...

He was the best guy they could have employed. Even if , as he admitted, failed. He blew the lid off the corruption and actually gathered proof.

You guys are barking up the wrong tree.
He might just have been the best placed CEO on the history of eskom.

You will have to explain to your children and grandchildren why you supported this ANC.

So why are you people still defending his performance when he himself admitted he's a failure??

He is saying De Ruyter name dropped and offered him nothing more in terms of evidence. I think De Ruyter must have to come clean on the information he relied on to make the accusation and if he did give it to Gordhan. So he is pushing this back to him.

The PDA is nice because it does not put any obligation on the whistleblower as far as the accuracy of the information provided, all it requires is that the whistleblower made the claims in good faith and genuinely believing they are true, and that has to be based on something.
