Lots of nonsense comrade speak in the resolutions and I'm not really read up on who provoked the war. On the surface it looks like Russia did. However, it most certainly isn't a Ukraine-Russia war.

And you give someone who can't manage whatever measly finances they have themselves, some level of control over R45bn...

I know it shouldn't do this, but it still boggles the fscking mind.
He's not managing **** though, is he? The ANC and EFF will give him a list of MMCs to appoint as agreed between the ANC and EFF in meetings none of the coalition "partners" would have been privy. The paper tiger is just a comical Ali front and the EFF and ANC have admitted as such.

Technically yes, but he is still "numero uno" and can do some stupid shyte in the position even if the ANC and EFF don't want him to.

Yes, he is legally allowed to. But they'll be keeping him on a very short leash. He's there for the salary and probably spends his days in office playing solitaire that's if someone will switch on his computer for him.

I reckon he just plays Candy Crush on his phone if we go by the predilection of Politicians in the National Assembly.

I think its probably slightly more nuanced than that.

They'll keep him doing their bidding, but if he does something that doesn't really negatively impact the ANC/EFF setup then they'll just gloss over it even if what he does is fscking atrocious for the city.

It's really not a big deal even if he was a mayor through the support of his party, unless there is a law that says you cannot be a mayor while in debt, and his personal financial matters were not an issue when he was a Speaker in the DA led coalition, I don't know why itshoud be an issue now.
