We can read. You must learn to connect the dots like Jamnadas
He doesn't personally manage the farm's affairs so it is plausible that he can't be held personally responsible. That's if he can find a manager willing to take the fall on his behalf. But this transaction was dodgy and he likely was involved on behalf of the ANC who are happy to throw him under the bus.

He may not personally manage the farm, but I would hazard a guess that he's wrapped it in holdings and such so with a bit of onion peeling he will still be the responsible person and the deal was dodgy AF and looks as if it took place with smuggled cash now which becomes even more problematic for him.

Maybe you can but clearly PrimeSteak read it wrong.

I'll give you #1731

I do wish that useless Kieswetter would publicise CR's tax returns though. These are matters of public interest and should be aired openly. Like orange man's tax returns. And butternuts for that matter

IMO, I don't think it matters if buyer declared it to sars but whether President declared it as income. And, if he reported the theft.
I think it matters both ways, the buyer must declare the money when coming in, and Cyril must do the same on his side.

But of course that's just from what I gather from the news about it.

I wonder why the DA did not do the PAIA thing on both Cyril and Hazim? Is it not allowed?

It's really not a big deal even if he was a mayor through the support of his party, unless there is a law that says you cannot be a mayor while in debt, and his personal financial matters were not an issue when he was a Speaker in the DA led coalition, I don't know why itshoud be an issue now.
I wasn't commenting on his financial delinquency but rather the sham the ANC/EFF have on the go in Joburg, EKH and now Tshwane.

What's interesting is that unrehabilitated insolvents aren't allowed to serve in the NA, but it seems that doesn't apply at local government. Weird oversight if that is the case.

"Coloured, Indians/Asians and whites have a stronger tendency to inflate their social position compared to [black] Africans, who have a strong tendency to deflate their social position,” the researchers say in the journal Sociological Inquiry."

That's not what the tweet is saying, read it again.
Oh, so what is it saying then, my leader?

SARS doesn't have any records of the dollars entering SA, i.e. most likely not declared at all. This means Cyril has illegal tender in his possession, no?

Because it is the perfect motive for throwing the UF under the bus and collaborating with ANC...

Yeah some here are rather naïve of how the real world of politics work.
 Ah yes, another high-IQ leader has arrived to explain it away.

We both know the opposition will use this as well as any rebels in his party. This will be used to validate the recommendations from the panel's report. This will hence, screw him harder than he's already been (hence the "he's ****ed" comment").
He already came close to resigning last year after the panel's report came out, and only stayed because his fellow comrades begged him to stay, since without him their electoral prospects are gone. That same report will return to the mainstream now.

Either ANC will fall back into the same tactics they used during Zuma or Rama leaves.
