And I think they are content with that. They are a Zulu nationalist party so most of their support will come from KZN and to a lesser extent Mpumalanga and Gauteng.

Not really, you have to be selective for strategic purposes.

There is reason the DA guys will go after VF+ specifically and vice versa rather than Cope or IFP.

There is a reason the VF+ went around last time saying "Die DA doen niks" rather than "Die IFP doen niks"

To just put it bluntly, their support will come from any province that has a decent amount of Zulus, besides KZN that would obviously be Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

They've been making strides in southern MP and south-eastern GP... If they manage to break into Eastern FS...

Also, a while back I saw in an FM article I posted here about the IFP, that (I can't remember if Singh or Thami said this) they're even breaking into areas they've historically been a no-show, like some minority areas.

Well, the ANC marketed the message DA is a racist party, so what is a black voter supposed to do? ANC or IFP. Obvously they're seeing the ANC is not it, these small parties don't do it, so the iFP is it by default.

I am afraid they will have to make some changes if they are to be inclusive, something that might be very uncomfortable for them, look at their GP leadership, and that's in one of the most diverse provinces.

This is rather simplistic and factually incorrect analysis.

Most black people do not consider the IFP to be an option and many who are not Zulu consider it to be an Apartheid collaboration party because Buthelezi did work with the old government.

It is a Zulu nationalist party and so only will get support from majority Zulu areas.

Yes, Ambrosini, Singh and the Afrikaner lady, sure there has been couple others.

They will have to do much better than that if they are interested in growing the party, the example I used with Gauteng is that all their leadership here are Zulus, which means they still appeal to their own kind when they get out of KZN, Gauteng is just too diverse for their leadership to be looking like that, it shows they are still not yet in the position where they are making an effort.

I just don't see anything changing in the next ten years, I doubt that being more inclusive and growing out of the Zuluness even forms part of their discussions as a party.
