Talks of the elections overlapping into tommorow given the extremely long ques with only 4 hours to go till voting closes.

The IEC is trending at number 1 on X for fumbling so bad.

Some blame the new policy of people only being allowed to vote at their voting stations and not elsewhere.

It's a legitimate problem if there are too many people at a point, might push this overnight or tomorrow, this is probably on purpose, bad news for democracy here anyway, if that happens.

Has something like this happened before?

People are calling for overnight as they don't want the ballots from today sleeping at the IEC officials' houses overnight with no one seeing what they are doing with them behind closed doors.

People are making a meal of of the third ballot, there was no hogged booths at my voting station, which would be the case if people were taking too long because of the 3 ballots.

Yeah, that's not acceptable, this is Zimbabwe tier tactics. Too much at stake for things not to become weird.

Seems fine.

"They just have to be in the queue before 21:00 then they will be allowed to vote."
