I disagree with Helen on the minimum wage aspect of things, but she is 100% right on the jobs being the only way to deal with inequality.

No clue. It's meant to fill an ad space, so they kept it short I assume. A lot of ads on YouTube are just videos that a channel uploads as a normal video.

Not really, but minimum wage does need to be a reasonable and logical figure (I make no judgements on our values)...

We also have a segment of our employer base who WILL abuse their power and pay people a slave wage which is not on at all.

No we can't. We don't have the employee base to be the factory of the world, or the skilled workforce for it.

We have an oversupply of unskilled/semiskilled labour and that labour does need to be protected but still have the room to be employable.

Minimum wage itself is not the main driver of unemployment in this country.

I would even go as far as saying Minimum wage is not a driver of unemployment in this country at all actually, but it is used as a reason for unemployment or a reduction in employment numbers by employers to cover for other actual drivers.

China has advantage of having a submissive work force due to government's rutheless reputation. No one can compete with China in that aspect. China spring is unlikely to happen in my lifetime.

The biggest mistake people make is thinking the Chinese are slaves to the government.

I was comparing the provincial and national results from 2019.

DA did marginally better provincially (~70k more than national)
ANC did a lot worse provincially (~600k fewer)

If the regional ballot has the same effect, there might be a swing of a few percent just from vote splitting

It probably will. It is a weird mix of provincial and national.

I think some people might get confused and vote as they would provincially, but on the other hand, you are essentially voting for your party's provincial leadership to head to Parliament... So... yeah

Very much so... the only country that can reasonably compete with China on workforce levels is India.

Had a look at IFP - they benefitted provincially in 2019 by about 45k votes

What did minimum wage do to the car manufacturing sector in Australia or the price of a big mac because of the cost of the burger patty flipper. Why are there more homeless people after minimum wage?

I pointed that out to @TheChamp but he dismissed out of hand (perhaps because it is likely to lead to a lower vote share for the ANC as people likely to think 'regional' and 'provincial' ballots are the same).
