China is an absolute beast in manufacturing. It is insane to dream about competing with China on anything, including trampling of human rights.

The Regional ballot is essentially voting for the amount out of 200 seats, your province is assigned.

It's a haphazard system that ANC implemented to let independents participate but were too cowardly to go the full monty with electoral reform.

A constituency system nationally is almost always talked about in terms of multimember constituencies. Do you think single member constituencies are possible? I think the need for creative demarcation and variation in size would prevent it.

India have the human capital to compete. They must just whip them up - people at India's workplaces still adhere to rigid hierarchies calling everyone Mr this Mr that and Sir plus seems women are mostly not allowed outside of the office environment. They could put them to work assembling stuff.

Yeah. I think either demarcating special areas or simply using municipalities as the constituencies.

But it depends on the split in Parly between Constituency and PR in that case.

This assumes China hasn't seen this and hasn't been transitioning away from low-skill jobs for almost two "5-year plan" rotations now.

China's been looking for their own China for years.
