Makes no sense for the DA to be apart of this. If they don't join then it's just the ANC+EFF+PA. They may throw in the IFP to make it look legit.

It would be too flimsy without the DA because the EFF could easily go along with anything Zuma declares and then it's game over. The ANC may as well form a minority government then.

If a GNU is what the ANC wants - and it appears they do - then they're going to have to appease the DA with generous posts and portfolios.

I'm sure Mbeki is also a deer in the headlights. Cyril should rather speak to Thabo's brother.
Even Thabo won't get into bed with the EFF, he's more pro-market. MK is definitely out.

That leaves one option - Thabo telling Cyril what he wants to hear. Maybe Cyril just needs to hear it from someone else in order to come to terms with it...

Thabo should tell the "Collective" on live TV.

Thought the same. Even tho they aren't fans of each other, they're both of the same faction in the ANC. The pro-market moderates...

And I think both would rather work with DA/IFP than...

It appears no one wants to work with MK at all. Even in KZN.

More like MK doesn't want to play with anyone and is threatening to deflate the ball.

Cyril might have to resign if they go into a coalition with the EFF. Not because the EFF would demand it, but because he will face a motion of no confidence in record time and lose it.

Anyone in the ANC willing to work with MK exposes themselves as a Zuma shill. And is therefore someone who advocates destroying the constitution, which won't sit well with most in the ANC. People like Lindiwe Sisulu may have just signed their own warrant...
