Some have tried but they are mostly opportunists with poor strategy. As controversial as Rajbansi was, he was the only one that had some political intelligence that gunned for this vote.

The point I made is that if someone puts their hands up for this vote who has political intelligence, they could get it. Who they associate with, we don't know.

Rajbansi was controversial because he bent over backwards for the National Party during Apartheid and then did the same for ANC after 94. He was an opportunist but had some political success because he had some political intelligence.

We will see next week but I believe you are a bit too optimistic about how Gayton will do. I'm fascinated to see if the DA strategy of linking him (correctly) to the ANC/EFF cabal will work in the Western Cape hinterland. I think it will, but let's see.

I must say the funny about parties trying to take the WC away from the DA is their piss poor campaign strategies. I've been following the DA Western Cape Twitter account and they are consistently campaigning in the Cape Flats (where elections are won/lost in Cape Town) and yet no other party appears to be putting in much effort, and that includes the PA - none of Gayton's recent tweets suggests he's anywhere near there.

Don't help much if the institution is just as corrupt as the ANC, Police, military. You can sign whatever you like nothing going to change. We need another country to come in audit and arrest these scumbags and NO Zimbabwe don't count.

Putting it back under the NPA creates the same problem that caused Scorpions to dissolve in the first place in 2008.
