No he didn't. He created it. Somebody else leaked it now 14 years after the fact. Subtle difference.

Yes indeed they do. But they cannot now claim that he has brought them into disrepute. That video was made in 2010. If they were unaware of it that's their bad.

what about the court of public opinion?

there's never been an outcry quite this loud against other MPs for saying worse, the voting public has the same authority (or lack thereof) over all MPs regardless of which party they represent

The truth never matters. Its all about being popular and people buying your stuff.

I actually had the same thought. It's a nice change of tone from them. But I suspect it's due to the GNU and going forward they will do more of this.

What are you saying now? he created the video but did not release it? How did the person who leaked it get hold of video?

Is it like those rare and unreleased albums?

It's about protecting your reputation. Any company would have done the same. They're not going to fight to clear your name, you got yourself into the pickle then you need to get yourself out of it. Come back once you've done so...

He's associated with the party. He represents them in parly. Anything related to his name impacts image of the party.
