What's your objective cut off (i.e. vote share) for whether Rise Mzansi has flopped or not? Don't make it a ridiculously low percentage like 0.5 percent now! (Context: COPE and EFF got > 5 percent of national vote at the first time of asking).

Both COPE and EFF had the advantage of coming with their supporters from the ANC, RISE is starting from scratch, that's not something you ignore in comparing them.

So 1 to 2% also look realistic to me.

The DP which the DA likes to trace its roots to was also a 1-2 percent party in 1994 and in it's early days so maybe their ambition is to use a similar strategy for growth.
