There is some concern among people who are in long queues that they may not be able to cast their vote before voting ends at 9pm.
IEC deputy CEO Masego Sheburi assured the public this afternoon: “All voters who are in queues will be assisted to vote.”
In other words, don’t leave! As long as you are in the voting queue by 9pm, you will be allowed to vote. You just can’t arrive after 9pm.

Honestly, who knows about which scenario benefits who? Who is leading who? Who turned up? Or how the afternoon voting pattern will go. We all are commenting on the happenings in our own community which is very different from SA has a whole.

We will only know when the votes are counted.
 
It took me a little over 2 hours. Marking people off on the voter roll on the tablet was maybe a bit slow. The actual voting once inside was fast/normal. The queue was still long when I got out about same length it is maintaining throughout the day so far.

I think the DA turnout is high.

Probably. That was my impression too. But we will have to see.
