Nope. Not interested in rural SA results. Will be ANC sweeping the floor as usual, except where there is a sufficient conglomeration of Afrikaners, where they will vote FF. Urban votes will only come through much later I reckon.

Isnt it usually the other way around? From my memory DA typically gets most early counts.

That is just Inkatha doing Inkatha things, they are not different to the Nkandla Tribal Stokvel.
Let's hope things don't get ugly.

People have been salivating for discord in South Africa and the IEC is giving them a weapon.

You are right, urban VDs and rural areas usually get wrapped up first and counting begins, Townships because of late voting generally comes in last and spoil the party.

It could be different this time since voting is delayed everywhere.

No IEC election has ever run smoothly, and people who are going to lose have always amplified the IEC shortcomings to try and create a narrative to call the whole election into question, we have been here many times before.

Yeah, I think Brit is wrong on that one. Typically the rich less frequented voting stations round up quicker.

I'm not talking about the townships in urban areas, I'm talking about proper rural areas where very few people vote. There are some voting stations that barely have a few 100 people. Urban areas will take a bit longer to report simply because there are many more votes to count. Why do you think Orania is famously one of the first areas to report? I heard on the radio today for example that one of the first areas to report for the Western Cape will be Robben Island, which is hilariously an EFF voting district, but that;s because so few people live there.

Took 80 minutes to vote in Meadowridge and left just before 9pm. Queue was still about an hour at that time. But it was nothing like some of the videos.
