NP government did the same thing, when the ANC was the government in waiting. During the last four years of NP government, they ransacked the place.

It's still a job for a good number of cadres in the WC, 20% is not a bad representation.

ANC in the Western Cape has a particular problem , technically most ANC member and active branches are in black areas and thus a black leader should be a provincial head instead of the regional secretary.

So every election time they dust of some coloured person to present them to the voters of the WC - we can see this is blatant fronting (DA is guilty of that as well) and is not a good election strategy especially when said person turn out to be accused of molesting staff.

Disgruntled WC ANC voters rather stay at home than choose another political party.

ANC WC has been pigeonholed since 1994. They only managed to govern in WC by coalition (later a merger with NNP) from 1999 to 2009 thx to the NNP. I just think the people of WC wasn't/isn't in the mood for the ANC to the point of landslide results of 50%+.

Electoral data for ANC WC:
1994 - 33.01
1999 - 42.07
2004 - 45.25
2009 - 31.55
2014 - 32.89
2019 - 28.63
2021 - 20.41

Noticed how they've never managed to get 50%+ like in the other provinces. Not even during the ANC's golden years (Mandela and Mbeki), could they muster 50%+.

2009 - 51.46 (notice how the vote essentially doubled from 2004)

LOL @ Action SA's donations and their supporters still get hot under the collar when polls show they are stuck in mid-single digit territory. Well duh...

Once again, the EFF just screams and shouts and disrupts Parliament. I genuinely wonder how they and their supporters don't feel a modicum of shame when they see the actions of their MPs.

No, it gets praised as revolutionary. To feel shame, one should have the ability of self reflection. If most of them had that ability they would realise their views are inherently racist and idiotic.
