Btw, I'm curious if independents will be able to contest national and provincial elections in 2024? And how will the seat allocation work for parties/indys?

When you have to issue warnings before you hold a conference, then wonder why the ANC is criticized.

IN what seems to be an admission that the ANC Mpumalanga conference faces internal threats, treasurer general Paul Mashatile has warned against violent and disruptive members, and implored delegates to “let those who want to disrupt our conference not succeed”.

They are disintegrating by the speed of light. And the ANC goes into further chaos by the day. At this rate, the ANC as it is now, won't exist after the conference...

There's even a VBS faction now...

It has always been like this ever since I can remember when the time towards the elective conference comes closer, I don't think there's anything exceptional, the provincial conferences are hotly contested.

It is still chaotic... I don't think it got like this in 2017 (Well, I don't remember it being this chaotic)?

Usually people die, when it's just chaotic it is normal. Just like the heckling you see in parliament and the childish point of order, it's normal as long as security is not barging in there and grabbing EFF members by the balls.

Very good, that's how you grow your support base, there was a time when DASO was becoming very popular at tertiary institutions, I guess it has become a steady decline since then?
I think it will be a massive deal if ASA manages to win one of the public universities like UNISA, UCT, Tuks, etc.

Idk about DASO, seems like they have stagnated a bit.

One thing though, the support at tertiary institutions does not necessarily result in the proportional support for the parent organization. During my student nothing could move PASMA, not SASCO with all the ANC might behind it, not the IFP student wing and DASO was non existent.

PASMA was so dominant there was a time they controlled all campuses of the institution but surprisingly PAC was busy dying.

Yeah sure, but it would still be a big thing for ASA. Could show that they aren't a one-hit wonder, perhaps?
