BREAKING | NPA declines to prosecute Godongwana for sexual assault
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has declined to prosecute Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana after a case of sexual assault was opened against him in August.
Police investigators had grilled Godongwana on his version of events after being accused of fondling a woman while she was giving him a massage in his Kruger National Park hotel room.
The complainant alleged that it took place on 9 August in Skukuza.
The NPA said on Friday that the Mpumalanga Director of Public Prosecutions, Adv Nkebe Kanyane, declined to prosecute.
"The decision follows a thorough assessment of all available evidence and after consultations with the complainant who expressly did not wish to proceed with the case despite being offered all the necessary support available to complainants in cases of this nature," it said.
Godongwana maintained his innocence, but said at the time he would step aside from his position because of the allegations if the ANC asked him to.

My fellow South Africans.

Don't judge pessimistic people, they have just given up (got tired of wasting energy, but have broken rule no.1 in life), and have gone over (or never left) to the pessimistic (nothing wrong it, just a difference point of view when observing their reality) side.

IMHO, all they need is a reason to feel hope. It is our duty as realists and optimists is to respect their reality and not to judge and to just leave them be, instead, we need to keep focusing our energy forward (and lead by example) to the future we wish to have and not get distracted by the negative **** all around us.

At the end of the day, we are mybb, we are south africa, we are one, we are diverse and clever, we have managed to get along with each other better than any coalition could ever do.

There is hope (if we believe), we should stand together not as different political parties, we must reject that ****, be as one, as mybb!.

Mybb, the community who your friends call when the "wifi" is down, and will save SA in the end!

I think @Priapus has also touched before on what I'm about to talk about.

Regardless of who people vote for, it seems a UF is forming both among most opposition parties and the populace against the ANC. It's unbelievable to think we're at this point, where so many people are rejecting the ANC en masse and condemning them. Five years ago, it would be unimaginable.

I think last year's LGE results were the spark of hope we needed, since before then people just accepted that the ANC will always get 55%+ in an election and govern forever (or until Jesus comes according to Zuma), so it's pointless to vote, etc. And then the ANC fell below 50%, showing that it's possible to do, that the ANC doesn't necessarily have to govern forever. Since then we've seen the opposition winning wards left and right off of ANC or at the very least cutting chunks off ANC support. We're seeing people rejecting the ANC en masse and providing more resistance than ever to the ANC's dumb decisions (the flag anyone?).

In conclusion: the people are gatvol. Things will probably worsen toward 2024 as they did before 1994. 2024 is going to be the final battle for SA. And we as SA will have to win it.

Gonna see if they're all ward councillors in a bit.

All of them are ward councillors, except the former mayor.

Another display of how desperate the ANC is.

They're pulling the same **** as in COJ, trying to bribe and entice coalition members to walk over to ANC, in this case, our deputy mayor. At least, he says that he denies that he's going to join another coalition (which would be dumb, since he's already deputy mayor, unless they offered him the mayoral position).

I just hope that all these new parties compete in the rural areas as well and try to get ANC vote share. Instead of just going after the DA's...

Since if they do we'll just end up with a split opposition and ANC laughs all the way back into power...
