I guess it makes sense because there us no other way they can contest provincial and national elections as Independents, so they will be independent for local elections but affiliates of BOSA in the national elections, and yes that's a very good question, who are they accountable for while under the BOSA umbrella? And would they know who contributed more to their vote?
Too many questions, they should be careful not to confuse their supporters.

As I said, this whole "umbrella body for independents" thing is a reasonable explanation by Mmusi to justify himself in starting a party after he denounced the concept of parties and the system...
