Is Vasco coming back?
Now that all the traitors have been dealt with there shouldn't be a problem, okay all except the COPE one, but maybe it's the right thing to do to have a Speaker from a different party, the DA should be seen to be putting an effort in building the coalition relations.

It makes a lot of sense, he must know who are the people to approach for money in the WMC network, if he did it for CR17, he can do it for the greater Liberation Movement.

With the DA also being guilty of the same thing, when they tried to sneak in their R26bn Rooiwal and PTA West power deal without first getting an agreement with the coalition partners as agreed on wnen they signed the coalition agree.

But I guess Solly doesn't get the irony.

How did he, of all people misunderstand the objective?

This has nothing to do with Cape Independence, nor the succession of the WC.
Many people on Twitter are having their studios demolished about this. Since like the post I made with the Marius Roodt tweet, apparently, this is racist, forced removals inbound, CI inbound, etc all because of certain members of the group, AfriForum, CIAG, Cape Party...

I really think they should just give it to someone else from a different party.
Maybe, but the problem is it could create a precedent that the DA needs to give up positions on demand to keep the coalition going. Same thing can happen in TSH, EKH, NMB...

I just hope the UF can hold JHB today.

Agreed; but I guess it isn't just up to the DA who takes the position right - everyone needs to vote on the speaker. If they vote the DA candidate, then... so be it.

As far as I know; today is just about the speaker position. So, should be fine.
