If they were; then why do the roads look like that?
I can ask you the same thing about some Joburg roads or Cape Town roads or Ekurhuleni roads, if I find a bad road does it mean everyone was sleeping on the job?

What's wrong with Cape Town roads? The other 2 can't be fixed overnight from the 27 years of neglect.

Imagine if the ANC or the EFF comes into government tomorrow and then take lots of pictures fixing those two roads, wouldn't I sound silly if I asked what were the workers doing all along just because I see a picture on Twitter?

It feeds the notion that service delivery is a selfie opportunity, if there's no pic it did not happen? that notion must be rejected with contempt, I know self promotion and marketing is a thing in politics but the most important thing is for service delivery to be done, not for politicians to be seen doing service delivery.

So I can use eThekwini as an example...

There are numerous random pictures on their facebook page of tiny road repairs and them crowing about it, while major routes are completely fscked still. So for the city of eThekwini at least, that sort of thing is very much a "selfie opportunity" that always backfires.

BUT I know there are big works going on all over the place and its just not published at all, or even mentioned by the city so in that instance they are their own worst enemy in terms of public perception... even though much of that perception is entirely justified when they sign off to spend R200m on EPWP subsidisation whilst the city is completely fscked still.

Those pics will look like using tar to fill a pothole on a dirt road.

He was on his death bed a while back. It's a miracle.

"I am relieved to be free again to walk around and do whatever I want to do without restrictions and having to seek permission, in the same manner that I felt in 1973 when I was released from Robben Island.

From here:

It's Rob Hershov's baby.

I'm digging the concept!
Ohhh. I wondered if it was his thing after I saw that most of the videos in the media section were featuring him only...

I wonder if it'll even take off tbh...
