Dunno seems like a reasonable explanation.

Since he said that he'd leave if the poll says ASA needs to work with ANC. Now all of a sudden he reneges on that?
Yeah, it sounds like he is caught in his own web, he must just come out and say it, some of us knew all along that he can't be trusted.

Who started this rumour ? If you start with that, you will get the answers. I think it is tactical move to spread it.

Glad he is not quitting though.

Yeah, I am also glad, I just wish he can stop with his amateurish ways, we all understand how politics work, he keeps digging himself into holes with his righteousness, it's clear they are compromised because the DA used their own stance against them and they found themselves without any leverage, I honestly have no interest in vows and swearing not to do something.

Seems like Beaumont just saw the photo of JS, and immediately got triggered. Since it makes no sense to cry about this?
I think he has a point though, sure it would have made more sense to include the coalition partners in the drafting of the legislation they are proposing? Of course not saying they can't do what they are doing but if they have a long term view of working with the same parties surely building long term relations starts here?
