Or per department, it all depends on how much sensationalist DA cool drink one consumes.

It's still a lot of money but nothing out of the ordinary, if the DA were to present their own WC provincial expenditure we could have more context, but obviously they would very much like their supporters to believe they never spent a cent.

Then again, it's also the people who want things for free, that see nothing wrong with (over)paying R100/toilet roll and vote ANC blaming the DA for everything bad in South Africa.

I am sure they see it as money that has to be spent otherwise it would goto waste. But I do agree with Lamola te DA are being totally disingenuous about all of this because I am very certain they also spend money on accommodation and similar stuff during lockdown.

At one huge private company I worked for, it used to be very common to have a sandwich trolley at flipping every other team meeting. Some top level guy put a stop to it and they saved millions. I am sure there is something like that happening here but on a larger scale. And of course, DA would be doing the same on a smaller scale than ANC just because they have a smaller footprint.

Funnily enough, if Gayton does do it, he'll be proving that the DA's opinion about him is right. I mean DA and ASA trade insults all the time, yet ASA doesn't constantly threaten to leave because of them?

Gayton went to jail and has done his time, to be constantly referred to as a criminal or gangster by the DA goes against the ethos of treating reformed citizens with respect so as to integrate them back into society, it is very ill informed knowing the challenges of gang culture and violence in our country and the fact that the DA is also appealing to the same group of voters, if someone worked hard enough to rid themselves of that lifestyle constantly reminding them that they are nothing but a lowlife gangsters isn't exactly assisting with building society.

There's nothing much wrong with criticism in politics but there are some instances where you expect politicians to be bigger and better people, Gayton has been nothing but a good role model since his release, he has done nothing to deserve such a treatment.

And he has a good point, the DA are being hypocrites because they don't seem to mind him and his party when they are the beneficiaries of his support. Maybe if he did do that then the DA would get a moment to reflect on how it treats smaller parties.

As long as that task team is ANC internal I don't really care, It's their money and time. Previous internal ANC task teams have been a sham, Watekloof landing and Nkandalgate two examples.
