Mac Maharaj was the guy who introduced the expiring driver's licence card. Orior to that the card never expired and the actual driver's licence still doesn't. It was just a way to siphon off funds from the public in perpetuity. His buddy Shabir Shaik of Nkobi Holdings got the first contract to print the licences.

What little credibility he had was completely destroyed when he was Zuma's spokesman. The press dubbed him Mac the Mouth while the public dubbed him Mac the Liar.

No, please don't misquote me. I'm speculating. I don't even know if they're being financed.
 
The SSA/Intelligence is now in the office of the President, maybe that sneaky Frog Boiler has enlisted Dudula to do the dirty work of getting rid of illegal immigrants.

Possible. Also possible that it's victims of criminal elements made up of illegal immigrants. I don't support vigilantism but Operation Dudula's targets illegal immigrants.

Sure, but it would take victims a lot of organisation and a lot of money to organise multiple "protests" in different places at the same time.

In principle, I don't disagree with the notion they're being bankrolled or have operational support somewhere. It's possible they do. However, it's also possible that it's just people who are fed up. If you've seen how easy and quickly protests are organised, without any meaningful resources, then you'd understand.

Sure, but fed up protests are localised. They don't erupt in many places at the same time. One local protest may spark others about the same grievance in different areas but it's a domino effect over time and can culminate in countrywide protests.

It's like lighting a braai fire. First, the spark and eventually all the wood is burning fiercely. Operation Dudula was like lighting a braai fire and it was instantly burning fiercely.

Dudula has already spread to North West, now it's two provinces that have Dudula. This might become a countrywide thing...
