Oh, we know they will.

Btw what political party do you think Dudula members would vote for? I think they would vote for ASA since ASA is closest to their stance on the illegals...
I don't think their supporters are unanimously opposed to voting for the ANC, the same way belonging to a workers union that is affiliated to Cosatu which is in a Tripartite alliance with the ANC does not mean all unionised members will vote for the ANC.

So some will still vote for the ANC or EFF and other parties while others support independent candidates. It should still worry the ANC and EFF because the past election has taught everyone how valuable each and every vote is.

That's only if the gov finally passes the amendment to the Electoral Act allowing independents to run for provincial legislature and Parliament.

But I'm not so sure...

The ANC really do contain the worst SA has to offer. Dodgy cadres who supported Ramaphosa now unhappy.

ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa has enjoyed dominance in the party, with several of his detractors, like Ace Magashule, finding themselves on the back foot or even outside of the party.

But those who’ve remained loyal to him in spite of their own allegations of criminality now feel they have been slapped in the face.

Seems like "renewal" isn't so popular in ANC... lol

Serious? Not too long before it spreads further.

I wonder how Dudula's reception will be here in WC, if it gets here eventually?
Their reception in KZN was apparently rather poor. The xenophobic movement there is led by the thugs who call themselves MKVA and other assorted Zuma allied malcontents and they must not be keen to share with these upstarts.

I don't know about that useless John but Zille was busy making sure Langa is the best township in South Africa.
I wonder how the DA will take this.

Seems like 4 May will be the battle of the ages and test both DA and ASA.

You know the country is really going to cr@p when the base housing special forces are unable to stop rampant looting and theft.

A MILITARY base in Pretoria, which is being threatened with invasion by civilians and pillaging, has been forced to generate its own electricity and install water tanks for its day-to-day needs.

The Special Forces School trains operatives to be combat-ready for deployment anywhere in the country within a short space of time. The visit by the committee included a walkabout in the Urban Training Facility that forms part of a training programme for special forces and new recruits.

Oh, so led by the Zuma Retard Legion, ok.

I get why it's received poor then.

By election? I still think the DA will win it, especially since John and Zille are apparently there every day, there's something very reassuring about Zille to a traditional DA voter.

ASA might get some DA votes but they will have to work very hard to get their own votes, there are enough voters in SA for everyone to get their share.

Looks like Brexit sentiment is here. If there were no immigrants, country would be so well off - or something like that.
Immigrants are just the current Goldstein. If they all disappeared they'd just find another Goldstein as a focus for their 2 minutes of hate.

Idk.

If Zille and Steenhuisen are there campaigning, it means that they must be intensely worried about losing the ward since they didn't personally campaign elsewhere like in Witzenberg, etc. which also had by-elections. Also, I think ASA might be more palatable to other voters who might have an aversion to the DA?

I would say it's gonna be a battle nonetheless.
  • If ASA wins, the DA will be on the run and in crisis mode since if ASA won that ward that means that copycat situations can arise elsewhere with by-elections.
  • If DA wins, they will be able to kneecap ASA's momentum and get some breathing room for now.

Indeed. Majority of SA current issues (billions looted) are caused by extreme greed and corruption of "legal" migrants and ex-president but hey, we wanna focus on those zim illegal migrants.

Do you perhaps know how the numbers looked in the previous election for the ward?

@TheChamp I think this is the correct ward:

Score is as follows:
  • DA - 50.48%
  • VF+ - 20.04%
  • ANC - 11.62%
  • EFF - 7.96%
  • ASA - 7.51%
  • ACDP - 0.77%
A variable we have to factor in now is that the winning councillor here from DA defected to ASA and is ASA's candidate for the ward.

That looks interesting, so what happens if the DA goes below 50% but no one gets the majority? Are coalitions allowed in a ward?

My prediction would be the ASA takes the ANC's position here, ANC, EFF and DA to lose votes to ASA, but think the ANC will be the biggest loser here.
