Well, that's all well and good, it doesn't help at all if it just segments the opposition more and leaves the ANC in power?

I personally think there needs to be more GHL or Pappas types in high leadership and get rid of Zille and her loyalists. I honestly don't think JS is bad as a DA leader, but sometimes you can see Zille is pulling the strings BTS. I mean, for example, he was in the front of the battle in 2021 over JHB between DA and ASA, yet recently with the by-election in Pretoria when Zille and her loyalists went crazy, he just congratulated the branch and went on his way, didn't join in on the ASA dogpiling.

DA should also be more open to working with ASA than bickering with them. The same goes for ASA.

In conclusion, the DA should get/keep the likes of GHL, Pappas and JS in high leadership and get rid of Antie Zille.

It necessarily won't do that. We'll have to see what happens with their congress next year.

I don't like Zille equally but that does not take away from the fact that she is a smart politician and power hungry as well. She could have anyone in the DA gone if she wanted. It has not ended well for those that have dared to take her on.

GHL and JS are pro Zille. We are not certain about Pappas as he is just acting as though she does not exist but remember that Pappas may have some socialist tendencies as he was a founding Cope member.

I guess they are but I'm not sure if you could count them as loyalists per see? I see Brink and Cachalia as more Zille loyalists.

The main problem is Zille, honestly. I tend to think if they get her out, then things should run more smoothly.

Also, I think more GHL/Pappas/JS types in high leadership that get **** done and appeal to everyone quite well, should be good?

Link? Since it only says he was a student member at some stage? And not a founding member of the party itself?
While studying Town and Regional Planning at the University of Pretoria, he was approached by COPE to run for the student representative council under their banner. He agreed and was then elected to the university's SRC. Pappas served as the temporary president of the student body at one stage.

Yeah, I should have phrased that better. I meant he was part of them when they were formed.

I wouldn't say GHL and JS appeal to everyone quite well. Outside the DA, Pappas is the only one of the three that is popular.

Ok, I can agree on JS, but I disagree about GHL. He's actually doing really well in CoCT and even those that usually complain about the DA on Twitter are giving him props, so I beg to differ about GHL.

Pappas, I can also agree on. He's getting **** done in uMngeni. I see him as a potential KZN Premier candidate or DA higher up someday.

Seeing what light exactly? Has it finally dawned on them that they should pay for electricity or what exactly are they fed up with?
That the ANC doesn't care about them and isn't coming to save them.

The antie in the video even says "...Cyril Ramaphosa. We voted for you, now you're throwing us on the floor like dice or I don't know".

Seems like a house burned down with someone in it yesterday because of a candle cause load shedding or other electricity problems.

No need to be defensive I wasn't disputing your point, I was just saying it looks like it's an old video because I think I have seen it before, just in case you were not aware.
Wasn't really being defensive, lol.

But yeah, it's small things like this from ANC higher-ups that show that they know the end of ANC rule is near.

That is the problem, no party besides the EFF will care enough for them to give them free, unlimited electricity supply.

Maybe you are not familiar with Soweto issues in which case you will need to inform yourself, they are not the victims you think they are.

Perhaps it was a legal, paying customer of Eskom who died? And not your typical Soweto type as you have referred to previous times?

Perhaps it was, in which case the residents should reflect deeply on how their actions affect those who are honest citizens who pay for their electricity.

I am going on first impressions in the absence of details, but I have a feeling I am not wrong. I am just unable to listen to the video as I have an aversion to people who make noise when raising their grievances.
