Oh boy, that's gonna be chaos... Seems like Mbeki-ing is a tradition in ANC now.
Once elected ANC provincial/national leader, just remove the current Premier/President from office (usually the predecessor of said ANC leader) and take his place... You know since party and state are one and the same...

The ANC have a rich history of using rules as stick to beat on each other. They are never held in the spirit. Also Kgalema is hard to take seriously when he's the guy who signed off the demise of the scorpions. He will insist he did that truly believing the Scorpions were used as a political tool, but yes credibility is hard when you were party to such decisions.

No doubt that's what he'll say, and yes the unit was being used at some level for political purposes but it wasn't unsalvageable. What followed was a million times worse.

Yeah. the whole "Scorpions are political" reasonable explanation they made to disband them is bullshit.
The actual reason why is, that the moment if Zuma started with State Capture, they would've stomped him. Hell, they were close to arresting Ace around 08 - 09. And they would've got Zuma eventually either way.
Removing the Scorpions was just the first step in making sure that State Capture could happen. And then everything else followed, Hawks, SARS, PP...
