Have seen your pics on the photography thread using the N8. Think they are great and I had a N95 before the galaxy s which had a pretty revolutionary camera at the time too (three years before the galaxy s), but just wanted to try something different. And I have a Canon for taking photos.

I don't really think it is as cut and dry as you say, but only the next year will tell really. Personally I would say, besides the camera (nokia) and the processor (samsung), the two devices are pretty evenly matched:

That's a pretty stupid comparison. The Galaxy S line is comprised of 5 different models.

I am not that clued up with Samsung but I am very impressed with BadaOS. I played around with a Wave and it is amazing - right down to the 97% the browser scored in AcidTest3. So I am by no means saying they make bad phones - if you see what is coming in BadaOS 2.0 then they have a good future ahead of them. Android is ok (better than WinMo and iOS anyway) but there are a couple of things I do not like about it. Symbian^3 is very good and very efficient with resources, I really cannot foresee that it will die out anytime soon.

BTW, there is a lot more to the N8 than just the camera.
