If you jump and then jump again, you'll boost if you have a jetpack or fall if you don't.I mean, I think I'm wearing a jetpack but granted it may not be fully functional

and now I have outpost envy! Although I'm not super into elaborate construction but would like something better than I have now. Followed one of the vids for building first outpost at the meeting point of multiple resources which was useful!
We all suffer from "Outpost Envy" at some point or another. Best thing is just to make do with what you have.
I'm going to post a photo of my outpost later so you understand why I need to burn it to the ground and start somewhere new

Can't be worse than mine. I have a collector thingy with storage containers on top of a mountain, another one halfway up another, outpost marker in a valley between the two, a random bed and workbench nearby and a landing pad where I could find a spot for it. Haven't bothered with it since then...I'm going to post a photo of my outpost later so you understand why I need to burn it to the ground and start somewhere new

I didn't even worry about the alignment outside, I was trying to straighten the fridge until I discovered it couldn't store anything so then I abandoned my base and pretended it didn't exist.
Okay that makes me feel better! I have a ton of random storage containers that really make it feel very homely.
All those hours away from the main quest put to good use indeed! I will definitely give outpost building another try.

Oh it gets worse... that is just the 1st outpost
I have 2 more that are mining & stockpiling mats for when I find a forest planet without to many nasties. (Note the Container fence with choke points, they exist for a reason.) I want a planet where I don't need fences.
I'm thinking of doing an Outpost. I might even do all 3, then add the central location and just build everything on one planet. Don't need to now, but maybe when I start a new character or something.

So last decided to drop some of the goodies (crap!) I picked up on my adventures in my room in the lodge. Ended up with some playing cards scattered all over the floor. Then tried to place a plushie toy neatly on the desk... Playing On Xbox... couldn't figure out the buttons to rotate on another axis... pressed wrong button... grenade. BOOM! Freaking cards flying all over. Plushie flew like a rocket. Now a big black explosive stain on my lodge floor. LOL.

Did the exact same thing but in capitans cabin.
At least I could do a quick pick-up by editing ship in design view.... The bug/feature where all the miscellaneous crap ends up in your ship storage came in handy that day,
