The Starfield thread

Is it possible to strip down the Star Eagle and rebuild it when you have design and piloting ranks?
Also, don't make the same mistakes I made
I raged, because there were only Port side windows available and no Starboard side, because the part is called port windows .... But you can just press Z on PC to rotate.....

Also, not sure what all you guys are storing that you need all this storage space. Resources should be used for research, weapon and spacesuit upgrades and outpost building if you do that. Otherwise sell.

Weapons and armour can be kept but realistically, you won't use the early game stuff for all that long. It is nice to have a collection though, I suppose.
yeah I am at the point where I don't pick up a lot of stuff anymore. If it isn't refined plus...ignore. Except for the 'uniques'. I love EMBER.

I changed the 'cabins'. So instead of a brig I have 4 x 4 living quarters, and changed the side room to a workshop, so all my workbenches are on ship as well.

One thing I noticed. The yellow ones have lekker abilities, but they're not necessarily the best gun to use. Some of my blue or even white ones deal a lot more damage.

Note/tip: Build and modify ships from your own landingpad with ship builder which gives you the most one stop options. Exclusives you will still need to go and get where they are.

okes are seeing credits roll already? That is a moerse lot of game not played.
The end of Starfield is not really the end.

You just continue along at the same XP and level, and with the same skills and Powers. You will, however, lose all of your ships, cargo, money, weapons, and inventory, though.

In new game plus, you’ll have the option to skip the main story missions, but everything else is reset. You’ll have a fresh start with all of the factions, and every side quest will be available again. Your relationships with all of the members of Constellation will be reset as well, including any romance. You can even rush through collecting the artifacts and head straight to the ending again.

You’ll get a new spacesuit and ship for your trouble, though.

Spoiler in link

Yeah I'm using blue and white exclusively. Damage output is way more impactful in this game than the extra attributes...

I encountered two bugs so far, but at least they were not game breaking.

1. Popped out of somewhere and lots of little bugs attacked. Then mommy bug popped out for some action too. Killed everything except one, which clipped underneath the floor. I couldn't shoot it through the floor. Ran back into the building (loading screens x 2) and when I went back outside, it popped back up on the floor again.

2. Was doing another mission where I was introduced to some bugs. They were not friendly. I killed on, hit some ammo problems, ran up a building, and the last bug decided it would clip into the building I was standing on. This kind of made life easier for me as I could just shoot it through the wall.

There have been some occasions where I thought I hit a bug, but things kind of recovered. I was following an NPC somewhere and then she got confused and kept turning around. Eventually she came right.

Had one ID10T problem where I couldn't work out how to add new items in the ship builder. Worked out the cursor needs to be off the ship to show the add button. Felt so dumb after googling this one like mad.

I won't lie, I have hit some lows with the game where I feel burnt out. Some of the faction missions are really boring. I have realised the best thing to do here is to just switch to something else if that happens.

I've basically done none of that. I've made one alien sandwich and researched one spacesuit thing.

Every time I've opened up these stations I never have the the right amount of resources so I just leave. Haven't gone in and specifically gathered resources on purpose, it's just honestly not a very fun game play loop for me. I feel the game kind of forces you to ignore picking up resources so you don't get encumbered constantly, so unless you're specifically looking to do these upgrades it gets in the way.

I've also not found that I've needed to do any of this, found plenty of great gear just playing the game. I'll probably finish up the bigger side quests and then start looking into this stuff.

That's how Bethesda games work though. I always finish the rather short main stories in games like Elder Scrolls first then I'm free to explore and do everything else the games have to offer when I want, how I want at my own pace. I assume I'll do the same when I get to Starfield.

Check what you want to research. Collect those items. Use the items under AID to temp reduce the cost of resources required and also combine with skills.

Yep, exactly what I said - you have to specifically want to go and do that.

The game also hasn't once pushed me in that direction, except once or twice where it was used in a mission but in that case it was only used in that mission and wasn't useful anywhere else.

Same boat. Did not need to research zip.... yet but that is cause I am still a murdering, thieving bastard that like to sneak into places and kill anything that moves and picking up everything that is not nailed down.

Hell I still only run with a robot and all my team members park at the lodge wondering if I still exist.

It's slightly annoying that you aren't pushed to craft more.

I haven't once gone into a mission thinking that it's too difficult, I maybe need to craft some mods for my gear and weapons. Just using what I pick up and managing fine. At some point there needs to be some focus on build crafting...

Oh and solo play is not by choice......

Cause their ai basically boils down to:

OIP.MltRpvwTuLH3spClvyYKPQHaEK

While I am trying to play the game as:

R.e1962197f550d710191c1ad9abb88033

You don't need to craft and upgrade. But it's lekker, some of the perks are sweet, like less O2 usage, increased carry weight, dong extension etc.
