The Starfield thread

Anyone else still playing Starfield. I started getting a bit bored and losing interest. Is it just me?

I'm done with it now, but did put well over 100 hours into it so did enjoy it.

But definitely could have been better. Fully understand the instant travel as you warp between star systems but localised flight within a solar system to moons and other planets should have been a thing. On your way to random moon, you get ambushed by the Crimson Fleet and have a proper dogfight. The way they implimented it felt half baked.

Then the planets themselves. The scanning of every leaf and beatle felt pointless. Probably because I didn't focus on the skills that would have made it meaningful. Planets were very lifeless.

Then basebuilding was completely pointless. I would have loved to have taken the time to build bases and resource links etc but it was not intuitive in the slightest. Without being incorporated into the story in some way, why bother with it.

It's a really good game that should have been a masterpiece, especially since all the building blocks are there for it to have been epic

Actually started this up again but this time on the Xbox and even though it's 30fps it's pretty consistent. For some reason I'm enjoying it a bit more the second time around after giving it a break.

I will wait for another patch or two before picking it up again. At least they are releasing the patches quite often now...

I just finished the "Entangled" and the "Unearthed NASA" missions.
I enjoyed both.

Finished the game now. Found the game average Bethesda fare. Not great but not terrible.

Stunning. Game is only getting better. Fallout76 vibes with the decorations and customizations,
Who doesn't love crafting and decorating your digs with Plushies. :)

I see the content creator and micro transactions has been added.
Geez, I just hope that the promised vehicle that they have been working on will not be paid content...
