The Super PSP Thread

By the way, I am currently running nesterj 1.20 beta 2, and I have Mario Bros installed, and it runs just like it should :). I also have s9xTYL-0.4.2 for SNES, and that also runs rather good :)

Give it a try, the graphics will of course be old, although I must say for the SNES, the graphics do look good.

hi just a friendly warning for those with custom fonts /custom waves/custom icons..you know the whole tutty fruitty ..flash0 folder vsh and resources
Please if you gonna downgrade for any reason please restore the flash 0 before doing this.If you dont you will have a 25% bricking rate.just remember have at least 1 meg free in flash 0..

Bricking = Turning your PSP into a paperwheight = Making it so that your PSP doesn't work, it won't boot. So you need to get a new one then.

I was under the impression that you can fix a bricked psp?

half bricks yes- 75%
full bricks yes-via sony
stupid bricks-recovery menu
full bricks without sony-undiluted modchip for psp,a secon flash chip

why not enter the homebrew competition? Im thinking about it. I just need to come up with a cool idea.

http://www.psp-hacks.com/2007/02/27/psp-hacks-homebrew-competition/

they want a homebrew that unique, and done from start with no code taken from other sources.
I could but use pierces of other codes but i am still on my first app,and still struggling.I do have the idea, and i know i will win as i told you in the pm.
My homebrew is unique and everyone might use it that has a vehicle, but like i said i am a beginner programmer in home brew for psp, hell the development tools are strange to me.but will try,I just need a veteran programmer for pointers

If you have to downgrade to 1.5 and the upgrade again to the 3.03 OE-C
what is the chance to Brick your psp then??

Is there any sega, master etc. emulators?

It is quite safe to downgrade from a custom firmware and then to upgrade to another custom firmware. There are quite a few people who have done so. One of the benefits of having a custom firmware, is the ability to easily downgrade your PSP.

It is also quite safe to upgrade from a downgraded PSP that used official Sony Firmware. Make sure your battery is at 75% and that it is plugged into the charger with the charger on, and that you format your memory stick before you do the upgrade. Also make sure that you follow the instructions very carefully.

As for Sega Emulators, there is the Sega Genisis Emulator, found here:

As well as one for Genesis/Megadrive found here:

For a list of other emulators, see here:

Indeedy dablakmark. I'm ph33r to install those custom XMB icon and backgrounds. I don't like messing with the flash0. For those of you whom have done that, and want to downgrade, read what dablakmark said, or suffer the consequences.

i did the usb mod 4b last night. works. some games worked perfectly, some started but then froze, others wouldnt even show up on the psp, weird.

but hopefully its a sign of the future.

Wicked!

Hopefully one day.. seeing as you get PDA homebrew ..we will be able to sync stuffs from our PSP to the PC via the USB and also browse our PC's via USB. It is possible to sync files from your PSP via PC with some PSP software which you have to pay for. But the functionality is rather limited, and there isn't a large array of options.

listen nick,I see you dont like messing wth flash0.let me tell you i have got a full custom xmb, everything has been changed.Try it some time.
A hint is that if you know a pc and how to handle dangerous windows files then yo will have no prob with messing with flash0 files, just make sure you have no viruses on your pc.
Another hint always overwrite files in flash0,and always leave a back up on your pc.
I have messed up my flash 0 folder many times, and always repaired it.
So go ahead put that custom wave in and xmb icons /loading icons/ battery icons....etc...do it man

Hmmmmmmmm... I think I will get my hands dirty then on monday. I must just find myself some very sexy custom icons etc. I doubt that I will be touching any new upgrade soon, unless it adds something very worth while to the PSP.

Any suggestions on custom icons and stuffs?

download custom psptheme pack from qj .net,and you ready to work that flash 0 folder to the bone.
just use flash agent 4 to make more space on your flash0 folder.ok
