The Super PSP Thread

I have been trying to register on the Playstation Network so that I can get goodies for my PSP, but it won't accept ANY of the user names I submit. What's with that?

Yala24 had an even better price when last I checked. :)
Got a 4Gb stick for R399

By the way, is it possible to upgrade one's 3.52 m33 firmware directly to 3.90 or does one have to have peformed the intermediate updates?

Japan: PSP sells nearly as much as all other platforms combined... again

The PSP is pretty hot right now in Japan. The Sony handheld is now spending its second week as the alpha platform in Japan's hardware sales charts. Not only that, but it's also its second week to sell nearly as much as the rest of the platforms did combined.

Its success has been attributed to the release of Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, which topped Japan's software charts the previous week. It's no coincidence then that the game is still on top of the software charts.

All the platforms have performed just as well as they did the previous week. Here are the hardware sales numbers in Japan for the week of April 6:
PSP: 120,964
DS Lite: 55,190
Wii: 44,618
PS3: 11,303
PS2: 10,423
Xbox 360: 1,452

I'm not sure if Yala 24's 4 gig are original or not.

For standard purposes having an original or a fake makes virtually no difference. However, on the homebrew field, you're gonna want an original as sometimes an original card is required.

I have a fake, and its able to do everything I want it to.

The only difference I have encountered is the read/write speeds.

Kevin - Thanks for all the great news. I really appreciate them. Please do keep em coming!

Hey guys,

Could some one tell me were I can find someone that can install CFW for me in the western cape area? Or even if you know where I could order a pandora battery. I have destroyed my battery trying to do it myself(yes, you may laugh) and don't want to do that again.

Please help.
Thanks!

hi
first, HOW did you destroy your battery?

because I have had my battery 'pandorized' for months now, and no problems.

2nd, if you can make your way to tableview, i can help.

well, now don't laugh...I pierced the big metal thing with a knife. lol. Loads of sparks went flying, haha. Would be great if you could help, unfortunately I don't have another battery yet, I ordered 2 off take 2, they're about 2 weeks away from getting here. Can only play with adapter now till they arrive :P
