so far, its only cso's that dont want to run. if it doesnt freeze when you scroll to the cso, it will freeze once you have selected it.

you must have a umd in to test and eliminate certain faults.

put in umd and select umd required in recovery menu.
Also take that cso and convert it to iso.
reformat the stick 3 times over again.
sometimes the stick is at fault...but in your case i dont know.

Have you tried a firmware lower than 3.80? Since 3.80-3.95 may have memory stick issues.Use NANDtool to repartition your flash, just make sure you backup your keys. If that
doesn't work, your psp is fooked.

usually errors like these is in incomplete transfers or non overwritten prx's in the firmware upgrade or downgrade...he still have hope.
Take out the battery for 10 minutes to. and memstick.
kevin if this is the memory stick you use with pandora i suggest you fix the stick first.
Also try reducing the cpu speed to default on all..eg xmb and umd speeds

ahhh.try to go back to firmware 1.5...upgrade to 2.0 and downgrade again to 1.5,this will fix the registry errors...mostly this is what i do for clients if a cso fails.

I ran an ISO today. it worked. Ill do more testing tomorrow. its been a hectic weekend.

Yep, assuming you have at least 3.52 m33-3 or higher.

Strange thing is that when I tried to update to 3.80 m33, it told me that I have to be running version 3.52 m33-3. Why is this, do you think?

That's odd. Try the latest CFW: 3.90 m33-3 directly.

as i remember correctly you must be under the previous CFWm33 or from FW 1.5 to update to that one

I'm guessing you skipped updates 1 and 2. In either case, boot in recovery and format flash 1 (which will restore default settings as well). After that you're good to go to upgrade to whichever FW you want.

guess what. found the problem.

you guys wont believe it, but i had faulty cso's on my memory stick.
dont know what happened, cause I copied them from my old memory stick to my pc, then to my new memory stick, and thats when I got problems.

when i copied them again from the source (dvd backups) they all worked

Also try to put custom firmware on your psp
