The Super PSP Thread

Oh gawd! 8 units..from 5 different retailers! All of them have pixel problems...I have my money back and have no idea what to do.

LOL, looks like a bad batch. And I was just selling my psp to get a psp3000, but I'm not sure if I should hang on now.

Stick to the phats for now! lol I haven't come across a phat with a bad pixel prob.

Seems like the slims and 3k versions have prob with their screens. I wonder if the factories even bothered to check the batches before installing them. I've been wanting a slim 'cause of the tv adaption, but I'm going to hold out for the time being.

I've got two nice working phats, and two scrap ones I need to get parts for. When I've got cash I'll fix 'em up nicely and prolly sell 'em to buy me a slim and tv cable.

Problem on CF 3.71 M33-2

I have a problem when loading .iso or .cso's onto my psp. Some of the images i load dont appear on the screen and the ones that do, show corrupted data and fail to start. I copy all the files to the PSP/GAME folder.

Is there something i am doing wrong here

ISOs go into the ISO folder on the root of your memory stick. The PSP/Game folder is for homebrew and Pops.

I see you're on CFW3.71 M33-2. That's good.

All isos need to be in the ISO directory on your PSP. So anything with an x.ISO or x.CSO extension goes in there. Also, check your Recovery menu. Enable the "Hide Corrupt Icons" setting. I've also found that if the MS Pro Duo isn't formatted to that current firmware, the ID files don't show properly or doesn't even load the games at all. So try formatting your card, then load everything on.

ALSO, check your UMD setting in the Recovery menu. That will also cause the games not to load. Some ISO games still require a UMD in the drive to play. My nephew had that prob and I sorted it out by upgrading his CFW to 4.xx M33. I'd say the best way for the UMD setting would be the M33 UMD driver.

Otherwise, just upgrade your CFW to 5.xx M33-x. The CFW 4.xx M33 and up don't require UMD's to be in the drive anymore. Regardless your PSP will still load ISOS with the current firmware.

Hope this helps.

Ok, so for CFW services in the Pta area, who would I contact ? Have a clean phat psp and a slim arriving on Monday. Slim has been done, but not sure what version.

Guys, who sells batteries in CT. My kiddo's is stuffed (i buggered it up with all this custom stuff)

A couple of shops i've been aint got zip.

Do you need pandora or normal?

Normal battery. lol

It stuffed up some time back and he has just been using the cord thingy, and i really need to replace the battery but dont know which shops sell them.

I tried several ways to see if i could fix it but nothing, and so now i just want to buy a new one.

Ye that it is, took me like 30min with this very good tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJ5B778DyQE

The only hard part in the whole process is opening the damned battery... cant recall how many times i accidentally stabbed myself trying to pry it

LMAO! You're not alone on that one. I nearly took my finger off too! I hardmodded my battery as well! Now it's permanently in service mode!

But for the select few, there's always the software mod that also works. I've tried it and can guarantee that it works.

Can someone confirm if the PSP 3000 can be modded (CFW)?

Might buy myself a new one or an older (1000/2000) 2nd hand model depending on available funds :D
