The Syrian Conflict Thread

@realDonaldTrump

Many dead, including women and children, in mindless CHEMICAL attack in Syria. Area of atrocity is in lockdown and encircled by Syrian Army, making it completely inaccessible to outside world. President Putin, Russia and Iran are responsible for backing Animal Assad. Big price...

....to pay. Open area immediately for medical help and verification. Another humanitarian disaster for no reason whatsoever. SICK!

If President Obama had crossed his stated Red Line In The Sand, the Syrian disaster would have ended long ago! Animal Assad would have been history!

Might be time for this staged chemical attack seeing as the opposition are starting to talk rebuilding of Syria, can't tolerate such insolence!

Wait until they talk about the Golan heights...

I see Israel launched an attack on the Syrian Air Force base last night.

Syria says capital is free of militants after defeat of IS

Syria's military said Monday it has retaken the last neighborhoods in southern Damascus held by the Islamic State group and declared the Syrian capital and its surroundings "completely safe" from militants for the first time in nearly seven years.

Reading an army statement on Syrian TV, Gen. Ali Mayhoub said the army captured the former IS strongholds in the Palestinian Yarmouk camp and Hajar al-Aswad after a monthlong campaign. He said the army operations were "concentrated and successive," leading to the extremists' defeat in the city.

Chemical weapons body confirms more sarin use in Syria

The banned nerve agent sarin and chlorine were used in attacks in northern Syria last year, the global chemical weapons watchdog said on Wednesday.

It is the latest in a series of reports from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) confirming the use of toxic agents in the country’s civil war.

The OPCW is also investigating a suspected chemical attack on 7 April this year in the Douma enclave near Damascus, which prompted missile strikes by the United States, France and Britain.

The OPCW said in a statement that sarin had been used south of the city of Ltamenah in the Hama area on 24 March 2017.

It also “concluded that chlorine was very likely used as a chemical weapon at Ltamenah Hospital and the surrounding area on 25 March 2017”.
The OPCW did not assign blame for the attack. Syria denies using chemical weapons.

Syrian government forces have used both sarin and chlorine, according to a United Nations-OPCW joint investigation, while rebel forces used sulphur mustard gas once.

Now that most of the terrorists have either been defeated or become "migrants" to the EU, real Syrians are coming home ...

So if you don't return to a country run by a brutal dictator and ravaged by civil war for over 7 years you're not a real Syrian? I suppose they don't really care...

Or ... if you go to the EU to rape, terrorize, loot and collect grants from gullible governments, perhaps you're not a real Syrian, you're sure as hell not a "refugee"!

and if tens of thousands of real refugees are going back once the terror threat is under control ... perhaps this "brutal dictator" isn't what the propaganda makes him out to be ...

Ah yes they all behave like that.

Trying to argue that Assad isnt a dictator is for morons, people travelling back to Syria might just prefer living in a brick and mortar structure under a dictator than in a tent in the middle of nowhere.

Large enough numbers to make even the PC-est of libtarded EU official stop saying "refugee" and only use the word "migrant".

Trying to argue that Assad isnt a dictator is for morons
Let me help you out here:
perhaps this "brutal dictator" isn't what the propaganda makes him out to be

"isn't what the propaganda makes him out to be" is certainly not the same as saying "Assad isn't a dictator", that's all your own, incorrect, interpretation. Hell only a biased person would immediately assume the word dictator in and of itself is even negative to begin with. Never heard of the term "benevolent dictator"?

Arguing that Assad is a good guy dictator is for morons.

Considering how so many places have been reduced to rubble, many will simply be swopping one tent for another.

Perhaps intially, but at least its still their land and they have the opportunity to rebuild.

Looks like the Syrians prefer their "dictator" over yet another "liberated" and fractured neighbour of Israel. Good for them.
