The Syrian Conflict Thread

it would appear they feel the same about the neighbors of paraguay, costa rica and the solomon islands
Yeah, since they too have plans to break up their neighbours that piss them off.

We'll get a better idea when war ships start arriving closer to the region. That, and when John Bolton starts to fart from his frontal orifice.

So its just as possible that Russia/Syria are planning another chemical attack and are getting the "staged" propaganda in beforehand.

FTFY.
Turns out the seat of humanity is a toilet seat and that makes the Middle East literally a s#:+hole.

It is possible, however the tried and tested principles of both Occam's razor and cui bono would lead to a conclusion that is is not "just as" possible imo.

President Bashar al-Assad of Syria has approved the use of chlorine gas in an offensive against the country’s last major rebel stronghold, U.S. officials said, raising the prospects for another retaliatory U.S. military strike as thousands try to escape what could be a decisive battle in the seven-year-old war.

So Russia warns a false flag chemical attack is imminent and weeks later the US warns a chemical attack is imminent and they'll strike "in retaliation". They must be pissed that Russia beat them in the timeline on this one, not even trying to hide the absurdity of it all anymore, guess they know the sheep are that dumb.

Syria war: How Idlib may be changing Trump's strategy

US President Donald Trump seemed to shift gear on Syria again this week, warning against a pending government offensive against the last rebel stronghold, in the north-western province of Idlib.
Money is on some "chemical attack" in Idlib that will magically rally the MSM in unison for war against Syria. Hopefully people aren't stupid enough for this BS.

U.S. Says Syria Plans Gas Attack in Rebel Stronghold

WASHINGTON—President Bashar al-Assad of Syria has approved the use of chlorine gas in an offensive against the country’s last major rebel stronghold, U.S. officials said, raising the prospects for another retaliatory U.S. military strike as thousands try to escape what could be a decisive battle in the seven-year-old war.
Ah yes, the same "US intelligence" that said Iraq had WMD.

If the Trump git is intelligent and has some backbone he will pull the US out of the ME (let them sort out their own BS) and put all the neocons on trial for crimes against humanity.

Which bit is the good bit? Certainly not this joke:
But, as experts previously told Business Insider, if Russia's navy in the Mediterranean actually killed US forces, the US would swiftly scramble its airpower from across the region and sink the fleet as well as destroying any Russian jets that came to respond.

Newsflash, S-400 has been deployed ages ago, all that airpower will face an enemy it's never seen before in battle, quite presumptuous to state you'll sink a fleet and destroy all incoming jets with firepower you don't even know will still exist by the time it happens ...

You have the inside story? What do I care, can't wait for the final eventual outcome. It is interesting indeed, how everyone scrambles for superiority.

Obvously the US has no counter or any other counter at all. Wonder how the Israel jets fly under the radar?
You assume the Israeli's were not shot down because they were not detected? Ever thought that it was simply not worth escalating to open war over?

The US scenario from your article would be very different, open conflict would already be happening, no reason to hold back.
