The truth about Openweb

hehehe by the time i left ow, i must have been asking keoma to give me a new login every second day when my gold account would predictably hit a brick wall.

Oh wow an unshared IS account**:

CW: We don't share because we care.

**Note this is a temporary IS account given by CW, it is not their actual accounts. However seems that IS stats is working fine ;)

Hehe you also care more by seeding your torrents more than you downloaded lol:D .kudos to them

Saw 4 concurrent users on my account , and they blocked me from posting on their site on facebook thhe @#$#ers

On 8 March 2014 - 5 (five) concurrent sessions.

And 9-11 March 2014 - 3 (three) concurrent sessions.

Every time I think they cannot surprise me anymore, there's another surprise...

More than 1 TB per account ...

If you did 250 GB you probably wouldn't complain. I wonder what these accounts cost OW? Overselling seems to be the business model.

how do you guys see if your account is being shared ? Im with openweb and have been shaped constantly since the start of june.

+1
I have come to the following conclusion;
1) They cannot afford anything else.
2) They are not paying for the account.

The problem is that some of us are not having issues. Based on the SAIX usage stats my account seems to be shared with someone who has low usage, but I still get full 2mb speeds day and night, no problems. And take note, this is on an account that should be a 1mb account.

And I'm not the only one with this experience. I've had two people PM me saying they're also satisfied with their Openweb accounts and they also run full-speed day and night. They just don't want to say anything here because they're scared of being attacked and being labeled shills. So not all of us are struggling with slow daytime speeds and horrible shaping. I'm currently downloading Rift at 213kb/s at 12PM in the middle of a work day.

I pay for this account myself and I'm not sticking with it because I can't afford anything else, but why should I go pay more at another ISP when I've got an account that suits my needs perfectly right now? Don't get me wrong- the moment this account starts giving me crap I'm not asking Keoma for a new one. I'm cancelling, blocking the debit order for the next month and moving to CrystalWeb. But until then, I'll stick with this account and rape it with downloads day and night.

I'm not spending a cent more than I have to right now. Booze isn't cheap.

You must be spending an immense amount of money on booze! No sober person can make such a poor decision..

Out of curiosity, what is 'poor' about my decision not to cancel an account that performs like an unshaped 2mb account with no usage thresholds?

:)

Uhm, read this thread.. And then read their feedback thread.

Are you' not concerned about the poor service that everyone else seems to be receiving? Not concerned that openweb are incapable of dismissing all these serious allegations? Not concerned that MrBEEP decided to go on a never-ending vacation, just as people started asking questions? Not concerned that openweb have completely removed themselves from mybroadband? Not concerned that their feedback thread got unstickied as soon as people started demanding answers? Not concerned that people have multiple IP's connecting to their accounts from different parts of the country? Not concerned that your password is 1122? Not concerned that their "dynamic" shaping policy seems to be a complete lie? Not concerned that there is seemingly no difference between their gold/titan/leon gold/orange gold/etc accounts, other than the price? Not concerned that two people, on different packages, were given the same account details? Not concerned that you have to request for your account to have the ability to change passwords?

I can go on.... I guess what i'm trying to say is, "are you not concerned!?"

Granted, your account may be performing well, but how can you be happy to support a company that acts like this? Do you really think that when your account gives a problem, they'll be there to sort it out? You're aware that they'll happily lie to you, just as they've done to others? Or do you feel that you're an exception to the rule?

Are you really getting what you're paying for? Because, when things go wrong, you're not gonna get the support that you're paying for..

To me, it's a matter of principle. I could not go and support this type of business. I actually tend to care about the way a business treats other people, it isn't just about myself.

Anyway, each to their own! Now hand me one of those beers!
