Any one else seeing uber weirdness from Teraco and cloudflare/google dns this morning or is it just me?

In Joburg cloudflare is ok but google is slow on actual name resolution. The performance also varies according to what name is being resolved. Example .com might take longer than .co.za.

Name resolution has been very slow for a while now. Been considering setting up my own internal DNS server to do resolution. Just a pain in my ass to maintain, don't feel like doing support 24/7 at home.

In our SD-WAN stack we use DNSMASQ. It works a charm and its what pihole is based on!

News around the watercooler is that Quad9 is experiencing a DDOS around the world. Don't see any problems in our neck of the woods yet!
