and FYI the XBOX is not a console - just an kiddie Player ........ for 6 years olds (or at least for the unders twelves)

Thus get a PS3 as it will make a better and more versatile HT component than a PC and a XBox alltogether. Get a box added to play a few simplistic games and use a PC for what it is intended to do PLUS play decent games at decent frame rates with decent online experiences.

- XBox 360 is a great media player and so is the PS3 with the PC (i.e. HTPC) taking top honours in that regard. [IMO]
- Simplistic games my ass...you have no idea what you're talking about do you?
- You need to shell out for a brand new GFX card every so often to consistently get good framerate on PC, that's a hit our wallets just cannot handle (most of us anyway)
- I think both consoles currently dominate the multiplayer aspect of things when you compare them to online play on the PC.

Many or most anyway have a PC with a decent GFX card, so why would a regular upgrade be required?

My point is that once you buy a console, there's no upgrading of anything, with PCs however the newer games demand a beefier GFX card/RAM/CPU so to me, gaming on PC is just gonna burn a hole in your wallet every few years.
 
Consoles = Stupid little computers in a pretty little box.... and cost big money...

The money we PC gamers spend on component upgrades, console gamers spend on games... Its absolutley rediculous how much console games cost...

So you have to Upgrade the console every few Years too. Why do you have to upgrade the PC or GFX, unless you bought low level cr@p in the first place?

I find the whole console vs. PC argument pretty stupid but this oft-repeated statement is one of the dumbest arguments by console advocates.

There are lots of plus points to a console, no need to grasp so vigorously at this particular straw.
 
This is difficult...emm...well most PC games I like (RPG, RTS, FPS) require you to actually sit at your desk (hence the KB + Mouse thing) whereas the consoles allows to the luxury of parking in your bed although I like the idea of tabbing when I quickly have to access the net to find out something about the game I'm currently playing.

So for me it's a win win...or reverse. Bottom line is that I use my PC for movies, music, net, videos, office work, email, composing, reading, emulation, etc/...so I might aswell make it my all in one solution and use it for gaming 2 :)
 
I used to cheat alot, foubnd all the cheats for games and just cheat cheat cheat.
but after a while i descovered that i got bored of the games, i wonder why, the i found the answer to the question. ITS COZ YOU CHEATED! ITS NOT FUN ANYMORE COZ U CAN DO AND GET ANYTHING!
So whats the point... theres nothing to gain, you just type a code and you get it.
Only game where i stil cheated though was GTA, health and car cheats. coz its not fun dying the whole time and having to resart a long a$$ mission coz yiou only get shot a fewe times and you die.
and the car cheat coz it isnt always fun having to search for a good car.
 
I love my pc because surfing the intrawebbers is much easier, a mouse is far better for FPS and strategy is also a bit of a drag on console.

Although consoles are more social when friends are over, thinking of games like soccer and rugby.
