The unofficial Surviving a breakup thread.

Something that a friend told me rang very true to me. And then afterwards I found the lyrics from a Mika song my ex-gf loved to say the same thing.

Live your life until love is found, otherwise love will let you down.

Dont get the whole breakup thing - never really bothered me... **** happens.

Stage 5- Take time off: A lot of men try to rebuild their new broken fragile ego, by dating again too soon after a breakup. Stop! You'll only end up damaging yourself even more, as well as the person you are dating. If you date someone just to fill a gap, that's the way you'll end up treating that person.

Stay away from women who'll prey on your fragile emotional state, and take advantage of your vulnerability. This will only give you a false sense of trust. Take time off and get involved in things you never had the time to do before.

But thats the best part :(

hmm, i would turn it on the b!tch. if she started giving me the whole break up speech, i would simply say something like.

O, im glad you feel that way, iv'e been screwing another girl for months now and didnt know how to dump you, but you make me feel so much better now that i know the turth wont break your heart.

seriously tho, breaking up is part of life, iv'e never been depressed over a break up, just move on, there are many fish in the sea and girls love vulnarable guys :p

If you're listening to Mika and quoting him, it must be a tough break up.

First few can be bad, but u learn to deal with it.

Nope, was in the car (we did a road trip) and she played that song over and over again. After our breakup it was still in my CD changer when it automatically went past my Slayer albums and played the mix I wrote on her request...

Yea, I remember my first 2 breakups still. I was shattered. It's easier to move on though cause, even though it does take some time, you'll move on to find someone better.

Idle hands is the devils playground. People always say "time heals all wounds" the fact is if a person is stubborn enough and/or not busy enough (aka, living their own life) afterwards they'll ONLY think of the breakup and it will make things work.

Get busy doing **** you enjoy and THEN time will definately heal the wound.
