Went out and got a waffle maker today, here's my first attempt :D

Milkylane's Full House Waffle. Love it.

Our special cheese mix with mushrooms, tomato and grated cheddar, topped with spring onion
 
Gonna make me some chicken and waffles for brunch tomorrow.

Do I put it in the oven a bit after I put the mushrooms and cheese on or...?

Nope. Just large round man size waffles.

But your heart shape one sounds like something my kids would love. Does it come in pink?
 
The Krups waffle maker is amazing. It makes thick waffles unlike the Salton heart shaped piece of biscuit producing nonsense.

You can get awesome waffle mix from Deeghuys, comes frozen, so you just defrost, cut a hole in the bag and squeeze it out into the waffle iron.
I like mine topped with ice cream and nutella, or toffee spread (http://www.sweettemptations.co.za/products-toffee-spreads.html)
 
waffles look good OP

i have a waffle maker as well and used the waffle mix you buy where you just add milk

the home maker was low on heat so took forever and didnt get a crispy as a shop made one

Thanks, I've never heard of these guys but they look great! I'll try that.
