The Walking Dead [SPOILERS]

DD 101 done & dusted. I enjoyed it, early impressions are good. The setting & story gets my vote. The main nun was on point.

As we know: The first Walking Dead universe show not primarily set in the United States.
Walking dead in the US is a dead horse. I suspect they will move the setting to South Korea in future.

Last of Us being so much better make the US setting for Walking Dead just not interesting.

They should do a Walking Dead show in South Africa... they don't even need to do much, just bring a camera crew... :p

DD 102 done & dusted. This series has been impressing me so far.

Some big Daryl character development, good action scenes & lastly I particular enjoyed the backstory (flashback) of the lovely nun (Isabelle).

‘Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ Tops Fellow Spinoff ‘Dead City’ to Become Biggest AMC+ Premiere Ever

“The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” is off to the races in the ratings.

Per AMC, the premiere of the spinoff series centered on Norman Reedus’ fan favorite character is officially the biggest premiere in the history of streamer AMC+ with three weeks of streaming data available. That puts its ahead of fellow “Walking Dead” spinoff “The Walking Dead: Dead City” starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Maggie and Negan, which claimed the biggest premiere honor back in June. Both shows have already been renewed for second seasons.

Furthermore, “Daryl Dixon” is now on pace to become the most-viewed season of any show in the history of AMC+.

In the linear ratings, the fourth episode of “Daryl Dixon” this past Sunday hit new series highs in total viewership and the adults 25-54 demographic. In the Nielsen Live+3 ratings, the show hit 1.1 million viewers with its fourth episode. That includes 392,000 viewers in the demo.

“What a thrill to have this most recent installment in ‘The Walking Dead’ Universe arrive to set records on AMC+ and deliver steady viewership growth over its first four weeks on AMC,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. “Thanks to Norman Reedus for bringing his ‘bad decisions’ to France, to David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Clémence Poésy and the rest of the outstanding cast and to the most passionate and committed fans in entertainment. There is so much more and so many great surprises to come for this show and across this expanding universe.”

105 of DD was damn good. Story telling, action & narrative play-out.

Actually one of the best TWD universe episode's i've seen in a fair while.

Next week is the S1 finale, looking forward to how the ending of 105 plays out.
I will wait for the whole show to end. Don't want to get burned again.

Carol's cameo in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon's episode 5 teased the potential for The Walking Dead season 12 to happen after all. After concluding the main series of The Walking Dead after 11 seasons, its latest spinoff may have just suggested another season could be on the horizon. With the franchise currently exploring the path of spinoff shows, it hasn't completed the overall narrative and has split things into their plots. While this has proved a success so far, it could all lead to an overarching story that needs at least one more season to wrap up.

There are other ways this could happen, like ending The Walking Dead franchise with a movie. However, given the previously canceled Rick Grimes movies became a series instead, something in the TV format seems more likely. An overall conclusion may not be imminent with multiple spinoffs renewed for a second season, but Daryl Dixon's recent cameo starts to set up something bigger. With huge storylines still unfinished in The Walking Dead universe, they may get addressed in individual spinoffs. It is more likely though, that the biggest mysteries and stories will be built up through the spinoffs and finally addressed in one last season of the main series.

Daryl Dixon S1 Finale done & dusted.

Man this spin-off just continues to deliver. This whole finale kept me intrigued from start to fin, the end decision & the unexpected surprise at the very end = top stuff.

Roll on S2, I am game!

I enjoyed Dead City as well but this is easily superior.
