No I didn't. She just recently made and reappearance on TWD so its a bit of a shock.

I guess the thinking out of the box approach is really working.

thing is, if they had to follow the comic books, then we would have no Daryl in it. Also, the comic books are quite long, so the tv series would have to run for possible 20 seasons lol
