The Witcher 3 Official thread

nVidia users you will have to download the latest 352.86 drivers (352.84 for Win10) if you don't have them already!
AMD users will need to download the latest Catalyst 15.4.1 beta drivers!

You might wanna do this so long before even thinking of playing.

Went out and bought the game for 48 Euros (promotion) only to come back and find out I don't have a cd reader. **** me.

Retail edition should have a key/code you can just redeem on gog.

Dumbass, it's cheaper on the net.

Nein, since when? It's 60 Euro on gog as well as on steam.

Yeah just found it, busy downloading now. The whole point of buying the hard copy was not having to wait hours to dl, but w/e. Can't believe I could forget such a thing

Don't you just love it when things work out, I installed the game and updated when all of a sudden the courier arrived with my new CPU, just swapped it out and updating drivers then I'm ready to play. :D

Erm, do I need to remind you where those keys come from?

Where?
The moon?
Or stolen boxed copies?
No

Or wait, generated game codes from official sources?
yes.

They are all recognized as legitimate re-sellers.
Either way, pay more, your choice.

Lol. G2A is not a legitimate reseller and is not seen as one by any of the publishers. Many of their keys might be legitimate, but they're part of the grey market.

Ok well let me put it this way.
We discuss piracy in here like it's ok.
I don't see why anyone would discuss the legitimacy of a purchased, legal game key.

If you don't want to use the sites then don't.

Erm, do I need to remind you where those keys come from?

G2A sells legitimate keys in trade with vendors, then they have brokered keys by third-parties. G2A themselves has an paid by the buyer policy, G2A Shield, to provide additional protection against ‘problematic’ brokered keys, it is the very same principle when you are trying to sell your own digital goods/accounts. I'm quite sure the G2A deal in mention is in partnership with GOG.

Get someone with a CD drive to build an .ISO from your disc for you? copy the .ISO, mount it on your windows and off you go?

G2A don't sell anything, it 'sells' by providing digital trading between users and sellers. You don't have any contractual agreement with G2A when buying on their site, other than utilising their G2A Pay and G2A Shield services, the agreement is between the user and the seller.

I know that you can redeem Witcher 1/2 cd keys on gog.com and have it added to your library, maybe you can do the same for witcher3?

Finished the tutorial and played up to the first town, 1440x900 all medium or high, the game looks beautiful, haven't noticed any stuttering except in the cutscenes (known issue).
