The Witcher 3 Official thread

OK I didn't have a real problem with the guy after the gollum, but that Gargoyle :wtf:

If you go to the south of the Vellen world there is a big Gargoyle (amongst lots of other bad things) waiting for you. Some of the monster levels in those areas just show "??"

HAHA I've also come across "??". Two of them, actually, together. I have no idea what they were but the one gave me a single "klap" and I died right there! When I respawned I went the other way!

But on another note, I'm really getting into Gwent. Managed to build myself a very nice Northern Realms deck, prioritizing siege cards. But I can't seem to win against opponents with the Monster decks. They wipe me out with that Muster abilitiy!

If you want to make Gwent easier, throw the first round. Try use up a low quantity of your worst cards and get your opponent to use a large quantity of their best cards in that round.

Yup that's a good strategy! I found that the person with the most available cards after the first round, usually are able to win the game. I've also found that Hero cards make a big difference. All of them have 10 ratings and can't be affected by weather cards.

Nice, I've been meaning to get more into Gwent. Any tips on where to get better cards starting out? I know that opponents cards don't change, so for monster decks you can probably use a weather card to wipe them out.

Will keep that in mind thanks!

Go to ALL the innkeepers that you can. Each of them usually have 4-5 cards you can buy. I think some merchants also have. I would recommend buying all the cards available in White Orchard BEFORE the griffin mission; the innkeeper there disappears after you go to Velen. It's apparently a bug that they'll fix.

Other than that, just play every single person you talk to. If you win they will usually give you a card. As for the strong Hero cards, there's side missions for them.

Nice one, out of interest where'd you get the 960 from? I haven't seen many places that have the 4gb variants.

Rebeltech. R3,700 seemed like a good price, well at least according to the GPU Value Comparisons thread it is.

Play all the store keepers, they usually provide one card for the first win. Also bartenders sell cards. Follow the different gwent quests as well.

Use your spy cards, they are invaluable. Its usually worth it to sacrifice one round in order to win the others.

Not all of them, Yen is only 7 but she gives you a bonus extra unit.

Ha apologies, my bad! Haven't got her card yet. I saw somewhere that there's a Geralt card as well.. Should be interesting to see his stats.

Geralt card - has sex with all female enemy cards, halving their score.

lol. After 20 hours of playing I've just discovered fast travel! :o

You should do the tutorials and not jump in the deep end when gaming :p

I don't use fast travel at all, much more immersive without. Plus all the random things you run into.

+1 there is one section I HAD to use it. That was in that castle after meeting with the Emperor. Apart from that I don't use it.

:p

Way too many things to remember.

There's less to remember if you do tutorials because doing the actions thereafter comes more naturally. If you just check out the key bindings and jump into the game you've got lots to remember.

Should I feel bad about banging a chick and then killing her 5 min later? Wasn't much of a fight at all...

LOL! ****ing bitches be trippin' :p
