The Witcher 3 Official thread

Just fired it up for the first time. Wow, such a visually stunning game!

(how do you see your fps etc?)

That in itself is a spoiler.
Oh please, the choice to help or kill someone in this game is a reoccurring theme. I bet if Geralt was to meet his own mother he would be faced with the same choice before long.

Don't post a spoiler, but did you help or kill the hillock?

Oops sorry
Helped it... I'm playing the good guy

So far playing the good guy and helping rather than being a douche gives more XP than coin and vice versa douche = more coin, gg= more XP.

I killed her. Currently have close to 6000 coin mostly from killing people and selling their stuff. My swords gear are buffed to give me +25% extra XP. Killing things is really to my benefit :D

According to AMD Rapture, I have put in 19 hours into the game, it feels like way less. Time fly playing this game.

[semi-spoiler]

In that particular case, i don't think you can be the good guy , in fact , i think you are more the bad guy if you help ;). No idea if there any repurcussions down the line, but that storyline is really pretty much about "determining the lesser evil". I certainly did not find any of the options "good" .

[/semi-spoiler]

It is like the one random side quest about this silly monster that demands offering from a nearby small town to "protect" them. The townsfolk, as poor and uneducated as they are believes all this and continues to give their last bit of food to him, when he doesn't get enough he threatens to kill people etc etc . Geralt comes around and have some options, if you kill the monster, the townsfolk will hate you for it as they think you killed their saviour/protector , if you leave him be, he continues to opress the people ....so you can't win. The ladies in the wood questline is very much the same...you think you are being the "good" guy...but not everyone agrees ;)

Very interesting choices you have in the game.

Making an absurd amount of crowns is not an issue in this game. Which is unfortunate I had hoped they figure out a system where you don't get to a point where you can buy anything without even trying.

Why use Rapture for time keeping when both Steam and GOG Galaxy tell you your playtime?

Guys, I haven't played nearly as much as the rest of you.
Could you guys refrain from spoilers or at the very least put them in spoilers tags properly so they actually hide the spoiler.

Didn't went out of my way to install it, was installed with the drivers, now it pops up every now and then to show how many points I've earned and how many hours I've played, etc. Almost halfway to a free GPU, pointswise.

Wait, what? Rapture also installed itself on my PC. What GPU's can you claim?
