The Witcher 3 Official thread

The inventory is killing this game for me... too messy and so much scht that gets collected :/

I think this game speaks to my inner hoarder.
I keep at least 10 of everything that doesn't weigh more than 0.5.

I keep 10 drowner brains just in case I might need it :/. And at least 20 of every crafting component and one of each book.
I recently started selling foods though.

I have this weird feeling that somewhere along the line, I'll get my own customizable home where I can store my books and stuff.

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IN-GAME HOARDING, PLEASE HELP.

It's no different to other games like this where you collect items.

Why the contracts and notes are stored in your inventory is beyond me. Picking up a note to get a new quest and the first objective of the quest is to go read the note is stupider. Collecting a note to start a quest and leaving it for later only to accidentally sell it and never being able to do said quest is stupidest.

I'm going to push to finish this game this week. At 46 hours played I think I've exhausted my fun. Any more and I'm going to start ruining the game for myself.

I agree with Hamster here. Sooo much of schit. Reminds me a bit of the old RE2 where you used to have to carry all that stuff to combine it, and this is much worse.

so it finally happened. I finished Witcher 2 this weekend, and my new card was installed yesterday.

Loadshedding messed with my plans to play TW3 so I only ended up being able to watch the opening scenes.

*sigh*

http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3/ ;D I couldn't have a good time playing if I constantly needed to sell stuff. The only downfall is you need to reapply the mod via a .bat file every patch, but takes all of 2 seconds to do so.

I can confirm that the bat file mod to increase backpack size to 9999999 works perfectly.
Yes it does need to be reapplied after an update but it was easy.

The bat file only seems to work when running normally lol.
Do not run as administrator!

Do you enjoy having a life? Do you cherish the times you spend with loved ones? Does the quest for animated boobies send you into an obsessive state?

If you answered yes to the above, do not plat TW3, I repeat, DO NOT PLAY.

I have my own boobies to obsess over - so animated ones are safe!

I've just got to (I guess) chapter 2 - where you leave the dodgy farmland area to go play with the big boys - all scrubbed clean and ready to rumble!

I'm still playing The Witcher 1. At the start of Chapter 3, lvl35. Did some grinding to level up fast. Took a break the last few days to play some Torchlight 2 but will get back to it soon.

Yea...was looking forward to this game until this video.

Agreed about the poor controls, but at the very end this guy makes a bit of a fool of himself for not pressing the jump button..? Or does he expect the game to auto-jump?

Roach doesn't jump well, but he can jump if you press spacebar. (I have an Xbox controller, but I find it awful to use in 9/10 games)

The game has bugs. In more than 50 hours I've encountered less than 10 of them. I've found none to be game breaking.
I can truly say it was money well spent. Do I want anyone else to buy the game? Not really, what you buy is your choice.
All I can comment on is my experience.
TW3 has been one hell of a ride for me. 9/10 Will visit in game brothels again.

I've also experienced barely any bugs and I've played nearly 80 hours. One of the best games I've ever played - right up there with RDR, Portal 2, Skyrim, GTA V etc.

I'm busy playing Arkham Knight and it's also an incredible game. I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence.

Both on PC btw.
