Yea...was looking forward to this game until this video.

He does not know what he is talking about, the things he is saying is not that bad really he is over reacting

Which is what he does in every one of his videos.
I don't even understand why people would view his reviews and in any way think they are remotely objective.
Tssk tssk Rickster, next time post a less biased review maybe?

Some things he pointed out would irritate me if I had that game, I mean how can a horse not jump over a short fence.

And the combat looks so bland...

My horse jumps
it's not mortal combat, it's an adventure game. The combat is secondary to the questing and adventuring.

If you had not seen that anal nitpicking review would your opinion be any different?

You're probably better off not getting the game, get something else.

Im sure i would have picked up those issues myself.

Whoooa so Witcher3 combat is easier than something like Dead or Alive 5. In the latter you can't just block or throw, your enemy matches and countermatches your moves. Here you just "spam" buttons and enemies impale themselves?

The reviewer didn't even play to lvl10. I would expect the combat to get little more advanced with combos once higher tier skills are unlocked. At least that's how it is in The Witcher 1 which I'm busy finishing up.

Took me 40 hours to complete the main story, i basically critically pathed it :D

Have not played in ages. I'm thinking I should back off this game for a few months so all the updates & dlc come through. I love the game so would hate to miss out on stuff coming down the line. Maybe I should just play Witcher 2 for now & finish that first.

Just started now! I'm total Witcher noob!
Enjoy!

It's very easy to screw up your experience the first time, so follow these rules:

- Try not to do the main story quests until all side quests have been taken care of. Not doing this can present issues later, as the game is divided into 3 chapters and you might close certain side quests off by moving to the next chapter. You also might suddenly need a character that is dead or otherwise unavailable.
- Talk to everyone you come across and to as many bystanders as possible.
- Grab the quests off the noticeboards.
- Never pass up an opportunity to play Gwent.

Here's a big one, to avoid getting a crap ending through no fault of your own:

- The game is weird about how you treat Ciri. Don't coddle her, and let her blow off steam when she wants to and don't accompany her to a particular witch meeting later on when she asks.

Apologies for the minor spoilers, but it's better than feeling like you should replay the entire game to get a better ending.
Hell Bells - I'm 84 hours in and only 35%
You're just slow lol. I've played a similar amount of time and I am well into my second playthrough.

Thanks for the advice Bryn. I don't want to rush through the game, more enjoy it so the side quests I'll definitely do.

Did you say second play through? Jeez this game is huge, I suppose thats why I got a map with it :D

And it's only getting bigger. Make sure you've got the expansion pass. An entire new location is arriving.
